SFM40G-SR4 850nm QSFP+ optical transceivers are hot-pluggable QSFP+ footprint devices for use in 40-Gigabit Ethernet links over multi-mode fiber. They are compliant to the QSFP+ MSA SFF-8436 and IEEE 802.3ba 40GBASE-SR4 and XLPPI QSFP+ specifications. The transceiver is a Quad (4-channel) Small Form-factor Pluggable (QSFP+), optical module as defined in the QSFP+ SFF-8436 specifi-cation. This low-power module supports multi-mode fiber (MMF) media with standard MTP (MPO) optical connectors. Compatibility and Performance The SFM40G-SR4 QSFP+ optical transceiver uses proven high reliability 850 nm technology, is fully tested, and is compatible with all Solarflare QSFP+ 40GbE server adapters. The SFM40G-SR4 supports up to 100 meter using OM3 multimode fiber and the industry- standard MTP (MPO) optical connector. Superior Customer Experience For added convenience, Solarflare's optical transceivers can now be purchased together with server adapters for simultaneous delivery. This optical transceiver product also facilitates those who are ordering a complete server adapter solution in a single transaction.
